The effect of different reducing agents on protein resolution in 2D gels. 50 μg aliquots of total Xenopus egg extract were dissolved in RB containing 7 M urea, 2 M thiourea, 4% CHAPS, 0.5% ampholytes and different reducing agents. 2DE separation was conducted as described in Materials and Methods.
